What is the thriller about? A ranger finds a dead 18-year-old of indigenous descent in ice-cold Wyoming, apparently a murder victim.
A young FBI agent comes to the US province and encounters hardship, misery and a wall of silence. She can’t get anything out of the locals, only a gnarly sheriff and the taciturn hunter seem to be of any help to her.
But they give her little hope of ever finding the murderer. The area is huge, resources are limited.

But in these quiet scenes, which are already powerful in their own right, a stone is rolled up a mountain, which, in the climax of the film, rushes down into the valley as a gigantic avalanche. The way the film switches from cozy comfort to a merciless fight is masterful.
The climax of the film is a fantastic sequence of scenes that keeps you on the edge of your seat for 20 or 30 minutes full of action and excitement.
Wind River has 7.7 out of 10 stars on IMDB and is one of the best thrillers of recent years.
