The most annoying resource in the current World of Warcraft is Cosmic Flux. But now it’s much more manageable.
Although World of Warcraft actually had the plan to introduce fewer new resources, it probably failed with Shadowlands. There are numerous important currencies and some are even mandatory if you want to play a character properly. The currently most important one is probably “Cosmic Flux”, because you need it for character progression. From now on you can also send the flux to twinks!
What has been changed? Actually, Blizzard didn’t want to bring the change until the start of Season 4, but has now more or less secretly smuggled it into the live version of the game. From now on you can get a “Bag of Wondrous Wonders” (” Pouch of Prodigious Wonders”).
This pouch costs 1,500 Cosmic Flux to purchase and can then be sent to other characters – it’s account-bound. However, you lose almost 17% of the flux through the bag, because when used, the corresponding character is only credited with 1,250 Cosmic Flux.
While this is a losing proposition, since most players have very large amounts of flux on a character, this shouldn’t be a problem.
What do you need Cosmic Flux for? Cosmic Flux is currently necessary for two things in particular. You need the flux to:
So if you want to play a character in the endgame, you can’t avoid the Flux, because characters can only develop their full potential with legendary items and animal set items.
The problem here was that Cosmic Flux was primarily found on Zereth Mortis, which is an endgame area. However, many players don’t feel like visiting this place several times and therefore wished for a way to supply their characters with flux in another way. This created a way to move flux between characters.
The solution with the flux is therefore very similar to what was already the case with other resources such as the soul ash or the soul embers.
