You can now play as Arthas or Illidan in Diablo 4, but that costs a lot of money

Blizzard has brought new skins to the Diablo 4 shop in a crossover. You can now buy a skin for each class that is based on a hero (or villain) from World of Warcraft. The catch: Each skin costs 25 euros.

How can I play as Arthas?

These are the new skins: Blizzard has brought a total of 6 new skins and a new mount to the shop, which you can buy for 2,800 platinum each (the equivalent of 25 euros). Each of the game’s 6 classes has a skin that only they can use, and there is also a mount for the same price:

  • Necromancer: Arthas, the Lich King including Frostmourne
  • Hunter: Illidan including the twin glaives of Azzinoth
  • Druid: Malfurion including his staff Wilted Oak
  • Spiritborn: Bwonsamdi including his bone back part
  • Wizard: Jaina including the staff of Antonidas
  • Barbarian: Garrosh Hellscream including Bloodcry and his iconic shoulder horns
  • The spectral riding cat As’adar in two forms (red and blue) including the hunter’s armor
  • This is the second time that Blizzard has offered a crossover between the two franchises in Diablo 4. A few months ago there was the first load of skins in the shop, including Varian, Kael’thas and Sylvanas.

    “They are all incredibly good”

Although Blizzard has often been criticized for the shop and especially the absurdly expensive skins, the new offer is being received quite well in the first few moments. Users on Reddit praise how well the heroes from Azeroth look in Diablo 4.

However, some of the skins come out better than others. The Lich King, Garrosh and Bwonsamdi generally seem to be the best received, while Malfurion and Jaina are less so. Druids have been criticized for their stature since release and players now joke: “Malfurion just started pumping.” (via Reddit)

However, the price is still an issue that the community argues about. While some people think that looking like a Warcraft hero for 25 euros would certainly be worth a one-time payment, others say that the money could be invested better. In any case, you shouldn’t spend money that you don’t have freely available.

If you prefer to earn something for free, you can farm some popular titles directly in the game. Many of them are available for little effort – but Blizzard apparently miscalculated some of them: Blizzard wants you to kill treasure goblins in Diablo 4 for 48 years – but how is that supposed to work?
