Since the end of The Walking Dead, the zombie franchise has continued with various spin-off series. None of them was more eagerly awaited than The Ones Who Live. The 5-year wait for the return of Rick Grimes was worth it.
The better The Walking Dead finale was rated by the Moviepilot community with an average rating of 7.5 out of 10 points voted the best spin-off of TWDU to date. Until now, you could only stream Rick and Michonne’s post-apocalyptic love story with a subscription to MagentaTV. That has now changed.

The three spin-off series Tales of the Walking Dead, Dead City and Daryl Dixon have been available to buy on Amazon as VoD for some time now. Now the newest offshoot has joined the ranks. Exactly two months after its initial release on MagentaTV, you can now add The Ones Who Live to your digital series collection without a subscription.

The fantastic return of Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) will be shown for the first time since the end of April as digital purchase version on Amazon offered. One more of the six episodes was made available weekly. Since May 31, 2024, the miniseries is complete and currently costs you only 8,99€.
To purchase and rent digital titles on Prime Video, you need a free Amazon account. However, you do not need to take out a subscription.
What’s next for The Walking Dead? These series are coming in 2024 and 2025
In just a few months, there will be new zombies. This summer, MagentaTV will launch the 2nd season of the Daryl Dixon seriesThe new episodes have the additional title The Book of Carol. In season 2, Carol (Melissa McBride) also travels to Europe, where she searches for her missing boyfriend (Norman Reedus). And it’s not over after that: a third season is already being planned.
The New York spin-off Dead City will also return for a second season, which will put Negan and Maggie on two fronts of an escalating war. However, this will not be shown until 2025 in the USA on AMC and in Germany on MagentaTV.
