You can now create your own game in Fortnite – fans believe this will become the Roblox killer

Fortnite is known for building and challenges the creativity of the players. Players can now even create their own games in Fortnite.

Fortnite has long been known for mixing shooter gameplay with construct building. This added a twist to Battle Royale matches that players either liked or hated. The motto was: Don’t look for cover, build one.

In 2022, however, the shooter went through an enormous development. First a mode without building appeared, then the graphics were drastically improved. The power of Unreal Engine 5 has been revealed to us.

But the change that Fortnite is going through is not over yet: Epic Games has now released a system that gives players unimagined creative freedom.

Unreal Editor for Fortnite

What is this system? Epic Games released the so-called “Unreal Editor for Fortnite” on March 22, 2023 (via epicgames.com).

Players can download the editor for free from the Epic Games Store and use it to create their own worlds, modes or games, which they can then publish within Fortnite.

It should also be possible to work with other people on a work with the Unreal Editor.

Fortnite as “Roblox Killer”

What are the first reactions? Many players are excited and appreciate the impact the editor will have. Some already see it as the Roblox killer, others believe the editor even competes with Epic Games’ Fortnite events.
