Are you up for some ninja fighting action? Then you should take a look at this Naruto game – for 4 euros you can’t go wrong.
To put it simply, anime video games can usually be classified into two categories. One half is a cheap “cash grab” that just wants to make a lot of money with a big name, the other half is a solid implementation with weaknesses, but which at least keeps fans of the original happy for a while.
It’s a rarity that games based on anime are considered “basically really good” – but Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is just such a special feature. The number of players is currently increasing again.
What kind of game is this? Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is a classic fighting game that you can play either alone or together. You fight in your typical fighting game style and have one or two well-known special moves up your sleeve.
In total, there are over 100 characters to choose from with different abilities and play styles – so you won’t get bored and it will take many, many hours until you’ve really mastered a few characters.
Why is the number of players increasing? After reaching a peak of just under 1,200 to 2,400 simultaneous players in recent months, the number has now skyrocketed and multiplied. Yesterday alone (May 21, 2024) there were over 5,900 ninja fighters in the peak (via steamcharts.com).
This is probably due to the cheap offer. Because Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is still discounted by 80 percent on Steam until May 27th. You can currently get the game for 4 euros on Steam.
Even though the game is already eight years old, it still looks really solid today thanks to the “cel shading” style anime look. Fans of the anime template in particular will particularly appreciate the proximity to the source material in the animations.
This is how the reviews are: If you look at the reviews on Steam, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 does extremely well. Of all the reviews (over 65,000), 90 percent are positive, giving the game an overall rating of “Very Positive” on Steam.
If you like Naruto or just like good fighting games with an anime look, you should now think about whether you don’t have the 4 euros left – it’s a lot of fun, especially with (or against) friends. A user here wanted to know what would happen to the games on Steam once we were no longer there.
