You can defeat the final boss in the new WoW patch, no raid group needs

Not in the mood to do raid bosses in World of Warcraft with a group? You don’t need that in Patch 11.1 – you can also defeat the boss solo.

If you want to experience the whole story in World of Warcraft, you usually cannot get around it to look for a RAID group to conquer the current final boss of the respective patch and then to consider the cinematic during its death.

For many, however, this is too much social pressure, even in the LFR variant. Therefore, World of Warcraft has started publishing a solo variant of the current raid-and this will also be the case in patch 11.1. There you can conquer Gallywix Solo or only with as many friends as you want.

Which boss can be conquered solo? We are talking about Jastor Gallywix, who will be called “Chromkönig Gallywix” in Patch 11.1. After escaping in Battle for Azeroth, he apparently fled to Lorenhall and asked for a lot of favor to increase his power again. He now also pacts with Xal’atath, which he demands a very special repair.

How this pact ends in the end and whether Xal’Athath Gallywix drops exactly as she has already done with Queen Ansurek, you can experience yourself in a few weeks – regardless of whether you are riding alone or as a group.

Why is that possible? With Patch 11.0, Blizzard has already experimented with a “story fashion” for the Raids from The War Within. Here, after a slightly longer waiting time, the final boss “Queen Ansurek” was also conquered in story mode.

When is that possible? In contrast to Queen Ansurek, you can conquer Gallywix early. Because the “story mode” for the liberation of Lorenhall will be activated from March 12, 2025. This is only a week after the raid opens on normal, heroic and mythical difficulty-and even 2 weeks before you can conquer Gallywix in the LFR variant, because it only starts from March 26th.

As usual, there will be no raid prey in the story variant of the RAID. So you cannot experience the most powerful objects in the game. However, it is likely that the completion of the RAID quest will be rewarded with a chic object, which can then be used for crafting, for example.

The mechanics of the boss fight will also be much easier, so it will basically hardly be more difficult than an average quest.

So World of Warcraft continues to rely on the fact that the MMORPG also remains interesting for solo fans and that they can experience the story first-hand without relying on a group or social interactions. This continues the trend that Blizzard started with the beginning of The War Within and the introduction of the pack of war.
