Blizzard’s hack’n’slay Diablo 4 is about to launch its first expansion, Vessel of Hatred. A few of its features are currently being tested on the PTR, the test server. The server is open from September 4th to 11th. The head of the community warns testers, however: Anyone who plays it now will encounter even more bugs than usual.
This is what the community leader says about the Diablo 4 test server:
Patch 2.0 will now launch on the test server – the download has been active since Friday. Community leader Adam Fletcher says (via twitter):
Just a reminder: This is a PTR. Things will be broken. Things may not work quite as planned. This is normal since this is an early build.
We expect this more in this PTR than in previous ones, as we have made many more changes. But the feedback we receive during these tests is important!
This is his request: The community leader is asking for feedback; a large thread will be opened in the forums and the known errors will be collected there.
Expansion revises many systems and brings back features from Diablo 3
This is what awaits us on the PTR: Blizzard has summarized what we can expect on the PTR in a blog post. The server will be open from September 4th to 11th and will give you the opportunity to test the features of the new expansion before they go live for everyone.
Among other things, there will be a new difficulty system, updates to the Paragon and Glyph systems, a revision of the quality of items and new skills for each class.
Other major features include rune words reminiscent of Diablo 3 and a new party finder.
However, you won’t find any content on the PTR that relates to the campaign or the new class from the expansion. The runes will only be available from Friday, when you can get them from the “Boost NPC”.
In a series of articles on Vessel of Hatred, we on MeinMMO have already presented and classified the main innovations of the first DLC for Diablo 4 in detail:
Perhaps even more important for some fans: It is becoming apparent that the secret cow level will find its way into Diablo 4, at least the first hints have appeared here. But Blizzard is surely saving that for the release: Diablo 4: Fans find strange items that have something to do with cows
