Elon Musk has expressed his support for the German AFD on several occasions in the past.
On Saturday, he appeared on the link during an election meeting.
– I see you as Germany’s greatest hope, he said in front of a cheering audience.
Tesla CEO, X owner and Donald Trump’s gun bearer Elon Musk appeared on video link during a rally with Germany’s Alternative for Germany (AFD) party on Saturday.
Party leader Alice Weidel introduced Musk, who appeared on the link and said a few words to the crowd.
– I am very hopeful when it comes to the AFD, and I see you as Germany’s greatest hope, he said and added:
– I think it is very important that people in Germany are proud to be German.
When Alice Weidel asked if he could see the crowd, he said yes with a smile and the crowd started cheering and chanting his name.
“Only AFD can save Germany”
According to German Photo Weidel then went on to praise the United States.
– The Americans are making their country great again and we are making our country great again. Make Germany great again, she said, according to the newspaper.
– I am so happy and proud to lead this party in the election campaign. Only AFD can save Germany.
Election in February
Alice Weidel is the party’s candidate for chancellor ahead of the Bundestag election held on February 23 in Germany.
AFD is described as a far-right party. They are critical of immigration, the EU and want to abolish the sanctions against Russia.
They could become the second largest party in the election.
