After the brilliant sci-fi hit Tenet, Christopher Nolan comes back to reality much more strongly with his next film. The approximately 3-hour Oppenheimer should be a mix of drama and biopic, in which the director of the Creation of the atomic bomb by the physicist and scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer.

In a recent interview, Nolan has now revealed new information about the film, which has probably shocked previous audiences as a horror experience.

New Nolan epic to trigger extremely emotional reactions

Speaking to WIRED, Nolan revealed new information about previous reactions to Oppenheimer, which were very extreme:

Some people walk out of the movie completely devastated. You are speechless. I mean there is an element of fear that is present in the story and in the background. But the love for the characters, the love for the relationships is stronger than ever.

Nolan also spoke about having another director recently over Oppenheimer as a horror film spoke, which the director confirms:

It’s an intense experience because it’s an intense story. I recently showed it to a filmmaker who said it was some kind of horror film. I don’t disagree. The plot of the new Nolan movie says so moral dilemma in the foreground to create a weapon of mass destruction. As usual from the director, Oppenheimer will not come across as a dry history lesson, but staged like a breathtaking thriller epic. When will Oppenheimer be in the cinema?
