Yonhap: Warning shots in inter-Korean border area | News in brief

North Korean soldiers were wounded in a landmine explosion. The border between the two countries is heavily mined.

On Tuesday, warning shots were fired in the border area between North and South Korea and at least one land mine exploded. There are reportedly several injured people in the area.

The South Korean news agency Yonhap reports on the conflict, which has received its information from the South Korean armed forces.

South Korean troops fired warning shots after dozens of North Korean soldiers crossed the military demarcation line between the two countries.

After this, the North Korean troops retreated and were wounded in a landmine explosion.
