“Yoga Girl” wants to take care of cows threatened with slaughter in Välen in Gothenburg

Start the clip to hear “Yoga Girl” tell how she plans to take care of the highland cattle from Gothenburg.

Among others, SVT Nyheter Väst has reported that the municipality can no longer support the association that has highland cattle roaming in Askimsviken in Västra Frölunda outside Gothenburg. After 30 years as a popular walking destination for the citizens of Gothenburg, the cows are now threatened with slaughter.

One of those who followed the reporting is Rachel Bråthén, known as an influencer and CEO of Yoga Girl.

– I posted a small screenshot and asked if anyone has contact with the association. Then I got in touch and said that we would be happy to take care of them if they need a home.

“Fantastic that she thought of the cows”

Anette Bernhardsson is chairman of Västra Frölunda Naturvårdsförening, which takes care of the cows. She says that a large number of people got in touch after SVT Nyheter Väst’s previous feature and offered to take care of the cows. One of them is “Yoga Girl”.

– I think it’s fantastic that she has thought about the cows at all and can come up with an idea like this, says Anette Bernhardsson.

At the same time, the association wishes most of all that the municipality should reconsider its decision so that the cows can remain where they are.

– It feels very sad to get rid of them, because it has been a source of what people have to do on the weekends, people are there all the time, says Anette Bernhardsson.
