Multi-talented Tim McGraw is not only a country singer, but also a music producer and actor. Yellowstone fans know him best from the prequel series 1883, in which he plays Dutton’s ancestor James Dillard Dutton.
McGraw is also staying true to his western roots in a Netflix series project for which he has now been hired to play the lead role.

As TVLine reports, McGraw is leaving for an as-yet-untitled format Rodeo rider milieu in the saddle. He is supposed to portray a rodeo champion for whom it is a matter of life and death when a fearless young rider appears on the scene. The talented youngster challenges him and ensures that he has to come to terms with his turbulent past.

The showrunner position of the rodeo series is shared by Brandon Camp (John Doe) and Taylor Elmore (Justified). Sundance Television produces the format on behalf of the streaming giant. It is not yet known when the series will be released.
Will the Yellowstone offshoot continue in 1883?
No, 1883 concluded after ten episodes on Paramount+. Instead, the Western franchise continued with the 1923 series, which also appeared in 2022. Further planned spin-offs of the Taylor Sheridan series cosmos are called 6666, 1944 and 2024. The mother series Yellowstone will be from November 10, 2024 concluded with the second part of the 5th season.
