For weeks, fans of Yellowstone have been wondering whether the hit series really ends after season 5 or whether it will continue with a 6th season. Now there finally seems to be clarity: Yellowstone ends in a few days, but there is still a sequel for two fan favorites – in the form of a new spin-off.

Yellowstone ends after season 5, but gets a new additional series
As Deadline just reported, the Dutton story continues after the Season 5 finale. The stars behind Beth Dutton and Rip WheelerKelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, have inked deals for a spinoff that will likely see more familiar faces return. After the prequel spin-offs in 1883 and 1923, the… new series be the first to also have the word Yellowstone in the title. However, nothing is known about the exact plot of the latest Taylor Sheridan creation, except that it set in the present after the main series becomes.
Recently there was a lot of confusion in Yellowstone circles about a 6th season because some stars were being considered for “further chapters” of the Dutton epic. With this news it should now be clear that the original series Yellowstone really after season 5 ends.
However, this also confirms what we feared six months ago: the ordering of a new Yellowstone series spoils the finale. Because after numerous deaths in the most recent season 5 episodes, it was not certain who would survive the series end in episode 14. Beth and Rip are now safe thanks to their spin-off. So does that mean RIP Jamie (Wes Bentley)? The latest trailer suggests so.
Series finale instead of season 6: Yellowstone will end in a few days
So we have certainty: This Yellowstone series finale is only a few days away. In Germany it will be on Monday December 16, 2024 shown in the stream (at 12:30 p.m.) on AXN Black, which can be accessed, for example, via Amazon Channel *.
Then we will finally find out who lives, who dies and who, alongside Beth and Rip, might move on to the new Yellowstone series after the finale. But it’s time to say goodbye to the main series.
