Yellow warnings: New snow chaos is expected

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

A new snow storm is expected to sweep across the country on Monday. SMHI warns of heavy snowfall and strong winds. The snow already fell in some places during the night to Monday, but it is only when the wind increases during the morning that a yellow warning comes into effect. Eastern Svealand and southeastern Gävleborg counties can expect heavy snowfall and fresh wind. The weather is expected to seriously disrupt traffic due to slippage, poor visibility and snow. The amount of snow that comes may vary locally. But since it is expected to snow for a longer period of time, anything between five and 15 centimeters can fall. In Uppsala county it can locally reach up to 20 centimetres. The warning is valid until Tuesday afternoon. The text is updated. See the latest weather forecast in the player above.
