Today, on July 21st, the path to exotic opportunities opens up again in Destiny 2, because the mysterious agent of the Nine, Xur, has arrived. With his eerie appearance, he promises you exotic and legendary gear that will expand your collection and increase your power in the fight against darkness. We have recorded his offer for you.
What happened in Destiny 2 this week? Before we delve into the mysterious world of Xur, let’s take a quick look back at what’s happened in Destiny 2 this past week.
The free summer event “Solstice” has started. So there is again glowing armor to earn or to buy. Depending on how much grind you want to invest and whether you still need armor with high stat values.
There was also a general call for a boycott during the event not to buy any cosmetics in the Destiny 2 shop. This was a sign to protest against Bungie’s “microtransaction hell”. But some see this critically, because ultimately nobody has to buy anything.

Those more interested in the Destiny 2 story saga got their money’s worth this week. Because in the lore drop mission “Veil Containment” on Neomuna there were interesting discoveries to be made.
Over the past few weeks, you have been able to play this mission over and over again to listen to voice lines and learn more about the Veil’s history and experimentation with the object. This week, however, it was a particularly important piece of information about the Lightfall mystery, as it reveals exactly what the veil is.
In this cut scene, Bungie has already revealed what light and darkness actually are and where the witness came from:

Now that we’ve covered Destiny week, let’s return to Xur. Its location and supply can be unpredictable at times, but one thing is for sure, if you’re looking for exotic items in Destiny 2, then Xur is the vendor to visit.
When is Xur coming? Xur, the Agent of the Nine, makes an appearance in Destiny 2 every Friday at 7:00 p.m. His visit then ends on the following Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. During this time, all Guardians can purchase exotic items from him.
Where is Xur located? This is his camp for the weekend
The position of Xur: Xur likes to go to remote places to show off his exotics. Exactly where he is each week remains a closely guarded secret until the 7:00 p.m. reset. However, MeinMMO finds out its location and what it offers every Friday and tells you.
Here is Xur: On the tower in the hangar of the Last City.
Xur’s inventory from 07/21 – 07/25 – All exotics at a glance
What does Xur offer? Xur’s offering consists of Exotic and Legendary gear items that help Wardens increase their power in the fight against the Darkness. He always has an exotic weapon on offer and a piece of equipment for each class (Titan, Hunter and Warlock). So it’s worth checking out what’s on offer regularly to maybe grab a good bargain.
This is Xur’s offer this weekend
Weapon: Black Claw – Void Sword for 29 Legendary Shards
Titanium: Synthoceps – Gauntlets for 23 Legendary Shards
Hunter: Lucky Pants – Leg Armor for 23 Legendary Shards
Warlock: Escape Artist – Armguards for 23 Legendary Shards
Legendary Armor Set: This week, Xur is selling the seasonal armor from Season 13, the “Season of the Summoner”, called the Tusk Loyalty Set.
You can also watch the complete offer again in the video by Nexxoss-Gaming:
In addition to the regular offer, Xur has also been selling unique rolls for exotics from exotic missions from past DLCs that are no longer available every week for a few seasons. However, you can only buy these weapons from Xur if you also have the appropriate extension.
He currently has these two weapons on offer:
Trials of Osiris from 07/21 – 07/25 – Map, weapons and info
After Lord Saladin gave the Saint-14 a round of vacation last week, the Trials, Destiny 2’s PvP endgame, is back this week. But starting today, Friday, July 21, Destiny 2 players can compete in 3v3 battles in the Trials, or “Trials of Osiris.”
What are the Trials of Osiris?
The Trials of Osiris is a weekly PvP event where teams of three Wardens compete in a tournament style to claim victory. This is the endgame in PvP and it happens every weekend. The only exception is when the Iron Banner event is active. Then Saint-14 pauses in favor of Lord Saladin.
Which map is it this week? Unlike normal PvP, where the maps rotate, the Trials of Osiris will only be fought on a specific map each weekend. So the Guardians need to focus on that particular map and adjust their strategy accordingly in order to be successful in the battles.
This week’s card is: Altar of Flames
If you are interested in playing the trials in a permanent team, MeinMMO recommends the callout maps via Warmind. This gives your fireteam a good description of where the opponents are on the map, which is useful information for the whole team.
How to get your loot: The Trials of Osiris feature a reputation ranking system. Your top loot reward from PvP matches is currently for:
This is the reward for a flawless run: Every week, a very special weapon awaits you on the lighthouse, which you get as a master version for your flawless run, i.e. 7 victories. You can earn the weapon until next Tuesday, July 25th at 7:00 p.m.
An adept weapon is always waiting for you as a reward if you make it safely into the lighthouse.
However, keep in mind that dual weapons will be leaving the trials pool soon at the end of Season 21. So if you still want the Unflinching Duty MG and Sublime Truth handgun in a Godroll and Master version, you only have a few weeks to do so.
This week’s adept weapon is: The Astral Horizon Shotgun
You can focus your testing engrams on your desired weapon at the 14th saint. On top there are Enhancement Prisms and Ascendant Fragments. Keep in mind that once you have a complete pass, your reward increases even more – even if you lose a game or two.
When do the trials officially start? The Trials of Osiris begins today, July 21, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. and ends with the Weekly Reset, July 25, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.
What exotic armor or weapon are you hoping to purchase from Xur this weekend? Or don’t you have time for the exotic trader because you prefer to go to the lighthouse in the trials? Tell us in the comments.
