Season 18 in Destiny 2 starts its third weekend today. Before that, however, players can expect Xur, the exotic trader. If you don’t own all exotics yet, you should definitely pay him a visit. We’ll tell you where to find him and what he has to offer.
What happened in Destiny 2 this week? Guardians in Destiny 2 are currently wearing gold. You are not only fulfilling the special wish of a grieving father. They also participate in Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, dedicated to raising awareness about childhood cancer. So far, thousands of Guardians have answered the call.
You may want to join to support Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Then find the golden shaders in your collection and equip them. The third-party app “Destiny Item Manager” has come up with a particularly golden help for this.
Bungie has also revealed new information about the loss of power levels. Something that many a player would like to get rid of completely without hesitation. Destiny 2 players seem to want to level less and less hard and therefore want changes. The latest statements from Bungie gave them hope that adjustments are already being planned.
Weapons were also busy in Destiny 2 this week:
All information about Xur on September 09, 2022 – PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia
When is Xur coming? The exotic retailer pays a visit to Destiny 2 every Friday at 7 p.m. Anyone who still has gaps in their Exo collection then expects it, as it is the easiest way to get Exos. It only costs a one-way flight and some material as payment.
Where is Xur located? This is his camp for the weekend
The position of Xur: Xur can be found in a different location each week. So you never know exactly where you’ll find him.
Xur’s inventory from 09.09. – 13.09. – All exotics at a glance
What does Xur offer? As the chosen Exotic vendor of the “Nine,” an ominous group in Destiny 2, Xur ships new weapons and armor to players on their behalf on a weekly basis. All characters, i.e. warlocks, hunters and titans can buy from him. Whether you are new to the game or an experienced Guardian. His wares are guaranteed to be better than what Spider has to offer.
This week he sells you the following goods:
Our purchase recommendation: The Titan Exotic “Insurmountable Skullfort” is definitely worth a recommendation. Especially if you don’t have one yet. For Titans, a resilience of 20 is quite good.
Xur also sells Legendary items and each week offers unique rolls for exotics from past DLC exotic missions that are no longer available. Note, however: You can only buy the weapons if you also have the appropriate DLC.
He currently has these two weapons on offer:
The weapons cost: These two Exotics cost 1 Ascendant Fragment, 1 Exotic Code, 125,000 Glimmer, and 200 Legendary Fragments respectively.
Xur always has this with him: You can always get an Exotic Engram for 97 Legendary Shards from Xur, as well as the weekly quest to get an Exotic Code.
The Iron Banner and its explosive eruption
Fans of hard endgame PvP will have to be patient. The start date for the Trials of Osiris in Season 18 is September 16th. It is currently in the Breakout mode on Lord Saladin in Iron Banner.
What is Breakout and how does it work? This is a modified version of the original Conflict Team Deathmatch mode, but Bungie has given it a new BOOMSHAKALAKA! Just like in “Conflict”, you also get points for your kills in “Breakout”.
Destiny 2 overhauls PvP in Season 18 – brings Killstreaks like from Call of Duty
How is Breakout received by players? The community on the various social media channels is currently still at odds.
However, it can be said that the new mode is “fun as hell” for above-average players, but “lousy as hell” for below-average players, as the player MegaJoltik on reddit aptly sums up the situation over outbreak.
What do you say about that, as a German Destiny 2 community? Do you think Outbreak is “fun as hell” or “miserable as hell”. Please let us know your experiences in the comments.
