Destiny 2 starts the weekend. But before you grab your bounties and get started, you should pay a visit to good old Xur. We followed him and revealed where he will end up and what he has to offer.
What happened in Destiny 2 this week? Bungie has hijacked the second week of Season 18 and sent you to the cosmodrome on a new section of the seasonal pirate quest.
Before that, the aftershocks of the raid race had to be digested. Because cheaters are no longer only active in PvP, but cheat you live in the PvE endgame.
Meanwhile, Bungie has swept a few bugs off the hard drives and stuffed a roaring ogre’s mouth. Elsewhere, an old NPC has fallen back into his nasty dealer role and rewards you with what is probably the worst armor on the other side of Saturn without a guilty conscience.
Meanwhile, Bungie’s boss, Joe “The Mustache” Blackburn, used the time to reveal some new details about the upcoming Lightfall DLC in an interview that you might find interesting:
All information about Xur on September 2nd, 2022 – PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia
When is Xur coming? The exotic trader is a creature of habit and therefore visits Destiny 2 every Friday at 7 p.m. Anyone with gaps in their Exo collection will then be waiting for it, as it’s the quickest way to call it all your own. And that even at decent material prices.
Where is Xur located? This is his camp for the weekend
The position of Xur: Xur has landed so we can tell you where to fly to.
Xur’s inventory from 02.09. – 06.09. – All exotics at a glance
What does Xur offer? As the chosen Exotic vendor of the “Nine,” an ominous group in Destiny 2, Xur ships new weapons and armor to players on their behalf on a weekly basis. All characters, i.e. warlocks, hunters and titans can buy from him. Whether you are new to the game or an experienced Guardian.
This is his offer for you this week:
Our purchase recommendation: For the hunters, the legendary armor “Opulent Chest Armor Vest” is a good choice for purchase. She has 22 Recovery and 25 Intellect, giving her an interesting distribution. The hunter’s helmet “Opulent Head Protection” is also quite interesting with a total value of 63.
Xur also sells Legendary items and each week offers unique rolls for exotics from past DLC exotic missions that are no longer available.
He currently has these two weapons on offer:
The weapons cost: These two Exotics cost 1 Ascendant Fragment, 1 Exotic Code, 125,000 Glimmer, and 200 Legendary Fragments respectively.
Xur always has this with him: You can always get an Exotic Engram for 97 Legendary Shards from Xur, as well as the weekly quest to get an Exotic Code.
Breakout starts next week in Iron Banner
With Trials still on hold for a while until September 16th, PvP fans should look forward to Iron Banner. Launching next week, it will bring the new Outbreak mode to Lord Saladin.
What is Breakout and how does it work? This is a modified version of the original Conflict Team Deathmatch mode, but Bungie has given it a new BOOMSHAKALAKA! Just like in “Conflict”, you also get points for your kills in “Breakout”.
Destiny 2 overhauls PvP in Season 18 – brings Killstreaks like from Call of Duty
In Destiny 2, however, this new mechanic also pushes your space skills properly. Kills give you and your team ability energy. This increases if you manage to eliminate a number of enemies without dying. Assists also count.
So next week we will see how “Eruption” in Iron Banner is received by the Guardians and whether it performs better than “Rift”.
How about you? Are you still visiting Xur? Or is your collection already complete? And will you explore the Iron Banner? Or have you already decided that this mode is not for you. Write it to us in the comments.
By the way, you should be careful when leaving a match in the future. Bungie plans a “Quit Protection” in PvP:
