Xiaomi just launched a mini air conditioner that could shake

The heat could come with no mercy, so it’s not a bad idea to be well prepared.

Part of France has just experienced one of the hottest and driest Aprils in recent years. Even if it is still too early to say that the summer will be scorching, many people are preparing for a summer that promises to be very hot. Xiaomi is aware of this and has designed a cheap and accessible air conditioner.

Called Xiaomi Roufeng Air Conditioner 1hp, it is an air conditioning device designed for rooms of 10 to 15 square meters. It is perfect for a bedroom or an office for example. On the other hand, among its most important technical specifications we find 605W of cooling power and 1100W of heating with 650 cubic meters of air per hour. As you might expect, it’s not the most powerful air conditioner, but that’s not its purpose. What the manufacturer wants is to offer a cheap and small format product. However, it has some very interesting functions to adapt to the ambient humidity or distribute the air in several directions, which can be very useful.

It is small, compact and allows us to control it entirely through the Xiaomi app. From here we can not only turn it off and on, but also enjoy a large number of customizable options.

For now, the air conditioner is not yet on sale, but it is possible to pre-order it for 2,099 yuan in China, or about 275 euros according to information collected by GizmoChina. In addition, a deposit of 100 yuan (about 13 euros) must be paid. It is not known if it will arrive on the European market or if we will have to wait for another brand to launch a similar device, but it is clear that it is very tempting given the increase in price of almost all devices domestic, including air conditioners.

It would not be the first object to arrive here after a successful launch in Asia, so it is likely that it will arrive in France. It will be available, in principle, only in white, the most common color for air conditioners.
