Xiaomi seems more ambitious than ever. Its brand new smartphone, called “15 Ultra”, is betting on an original design and unique photo quality. Here is everything you need to know.
Shortly after the sale of its Redmi Note 14 (especially the pro+model, which we were able to test), Xiaomi returns for a brand new range of smartphone.
Just presented on March 2, 2025 on the occasion of the Barcelona Mobile World Congress, the 15 Ultra presented its assets to the European public. Focusing on its original design and remarkable photo quality, the new device Xiaomi did not go unnoticed.
A very inspired design
With its imposing photo block and its two -tone leather effect shell, the 15 ultra clearly marks its ambitions: look like a traditional camera. This ambition is all the more visible since Xiaomi has decided to integrate the signature “Leica”, a German manufacturer of recognized cameras.
The least we can say is that Xiaomi really sought to differentiate itself from its competitors, by offering a design to say the least.
On the screen side, the 15 Ultra has a lot of similarities with its predecessor, despite some small differences. Like the 14 Ultra, the new smartphone From Xiaomi displays an area of 6.7 inches as well as 522 ppi (pixels per inch).
Performances that do not pretend
If design is a strong point of 15 Ultra, its performance is also a major asset. Embarking a latest generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the Xiaomi smartphone marks a step forward compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 of its predecessor. The Chinese brand aligns with the latest high -end models such as the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra or the Honor Magic 7 Pro.
The 15 Ultra benefits from 16 GB of RAM as well as 512 GB of storage, as is its predecessor.
The camera, the big asset of 15 ultra
As specified above in the article, Xiaomi particularly focuses on the photo quality of its smartphone. The 15 Ultra included no less than 4 rear sensors. While the main module, the ultra grand angle and the telephoto resets the three 50 MP, the periscope affects the 200 MPx (150 MPx more than the 14 Ultra).
The Xiaomi smartphone should therefore offer a remarkable and unprecedented photo quality for the Chinese brand. The 15 Ultra can rise as future great reference of the photophone.
A slightly improved battery
On the autonomy side, Xiaomi goes up a notch. Embarking a 5410 mAh battery, the 15 Ultra is slightly better than its predecessor, which only reached 5,300 mAh. An appreciable evolution, even if it is not revolutionary in itself, some Chinese manufacturers around 7000 mAh. Users of the Xiaomi smartphone will appreciate the fast load at 90 Watts more, which will recharge the batteries in just a few dozen minutes.
Price and release date
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which presents itself as a high -end smartphone, is sold for € 1,499. It will be available very soon, in early March. Note that the charger is not included in this price.
