A new feature is available in Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections for Xbox Series X players.
According to Bandai Namco, Xbox Series X players will be able to use a console-exclusive feature in the upcoming game Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections. However, there is of course a limitation in this case.
New announcement for Xbox Series X players
Xbox Series X players who want to try Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections will be able to block Xbox One and players with similar hardware to ensure the game works with a certain setting. This feature was announced by Bandai Namco three months before the release of Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections.
As the first Naruto game released on the current, Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections will feature original characters and a storyline as one of its main features. Although it has been hinted that one of the fights players will fight is a hostile Naruto, it is a matter of curiosity how this will reflect on the story. In addition, the game will offer cross-generation compatibility between PlayStation and Xbox consoles and support PC and Switch.
New feature offers fairer matches
Thanks to a new feature that Naruto players can use on PS5 and Xbox Series X, they will be able to block PS4, Xbox One and Switch players in multiplayer matches and make the game run at 60 framerates. According to Bandai Namco, the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Switch versions of Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections are limited to 30 FPS to ensure performance.
However, the framerate is doubled on current-gen consoles. According to the game’s Steam page, PC gamers with a video card that meets the recommended requirements and can use DirectX12 will also be able to play at 60 FPS. However, they may experience frame drops in graphically intensive scenes.
While playing Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections at 60 FPS is a tempting advantage for some gamers, the option comes with one major restriction. Players who do not prevent players using PS4 and similar consoles from participating in a match will be limited to 30 FPS throughout the match. Blocking them and maintaining 60 FPS during in-game gameplay will narrow the pool of choice considerably, considering how many PS4 and Switch units are available compared to PS5 and Xbox Series X.
