After the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase of the Summer Game Fest, the publishing duo is back for an extended show this Tuesday. We explain where and when to watch it.
[Mis à jour le 14 juin 2022 à 07h00] We told you a little earlier, the summer video game season is in full swing in the middle of June. Publishers and developers come together for several events, the biggest of which is undoubtedly the Summer Game Fest. Geoff Keighley’s festival is taking advantage of the absence of E3 to grab all the exclusives and announcements of the moment, and can boast of including the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase alongside it. This massive conference took place this weekend and is back on Tuesday for an extended show that still has a few surprises in store for us.
To cut to the chase, the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase will take place this Tuesday, June 14 at 7 p.m. (French time). If you want to watch the announcements and trailers live, you can go to the official youtube channel from Xbox. It will be dedicated to future releases from the now joint universe of Microsoft and Bethesda, and will offer us to discover the next Xbox exclusives and the future of Xbox Game Pass announced this weekend in a little more detail. Sony fans do not panic, it is quite possible to find PS5 and PS4 games on the program, especially during this extension of the first conference.
The biggest star (and it has to be said) of the first Xbox and Bethesda conference was undoubtedly Starfield. The upcoming open-world RPG ranks as one of Bethesda’s biggest projects to date, and most importantly, it’s not an Elder Scrolls or a Fallout. Because if the recent iterations of these two franchises have been able to disappoint despite all the good (it is false) faith of Todd Howard, we still know the pedigree of Bethesda in terms of original creations and RPGs in the open world. We can also mention Avowed, the medieval-fantasy FPS, and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, the exploration and horror game from Ninja Theory which has not yet appeared this summer.
Unfortunately for many Xbox console veterans, Fable was absent this weekend, and normally won’t be on the evening menu this Tuesday. The new iteration of the legendary franchise may need a bit more time to show itself according to Jeff Grubb, journalist and influencer. This will undoubtedly be the case for Perfect Dark and STALKER 2. For the second, it is difficult to expect much at the conference this Tuesday, GSC Game World being a studio initially based in kyiv, although its employees have recently claimed that its development continued. In any case, we wish their entire team a quick return to normal.
