Starting point of this Romantic Road in Bavaria, Würzburg (or Würzburg) is located on the banks of the Main and dominated by the fortress of Marienberg. The city is full of beautiful monuments, including the old stone bridge (Alte Mainbrücke) offering a splendid view of the river, but also the Romanesque cathedral and the famous Residence baroque. All around, the vineyards of Franconia are the pretext for tastings!
