The Republican Party Nikki Haley plans to drop out of the Republican presidential race.
It was first reported by an American newspaper The Wall Street Journal citing their sources. Later, several other media, such as the news agency Reuters, have confirmed the matter based on their sources.
Haley was the former president in the Republican presidential race Donald Trump’s the last real contender. Trump has won most of the Republican primaries by a landslide. Haley only beat Trump in the state of Vermont and in the nation’s capital, Washington DC.
Haley decided to end her campaign last night, her aide says the news channel for CNN. According to the aide, Haley had set a goal for the Super Tuesday primaries to win about 40 percent of the vote in several different states. However, Haley only achieved this goal in Vermont.
Trump will gather a sufficient number of delegates for the presidential nomination in the coming weeks. Officially, Trump’s candidacy will be confirmed at the Republican convention in July.
