Wow shows the house – and it is 100 % wild star

World of Warcraft has revealed new details about the upcoming player-hoousing. Some veterans immediately recognize: The Wildstar system was almost 1: 1.

One of the greatest announcements by World of Warcraft for 2025 was player-housing. With the “Midnight” expansion, all heroes finally get a home that they can decorate according to their wishes. But how exactly that would work and what restrictions there are has not yet been revealed.

Now Blizzard has finally revealed more information and showed how exactly the decorating and setting up works. MMO veterans immediately recognize: This basically works 100 % as in legendary Housing MMORPG Wildstar.

Wildstar’s freedom in the Housing of World of Warcraft

In a long blog entry, Blizzard has now introduced the decorating and setting up of the houses more precisely. There are basically two modes between which you can change freely at any time. In “simple” mode you can move the objects and automatically “stick” to the right surfaces. So move a carpet over the floor as you push a window along the wall.

In keeping with the winter breath festival, there is of course a winter breath tree.

If you don’t want this, you can switch to the “expanded” mode. Here you can not only set the alignment of objects to the pixel, you can also scale objects in their size or sink into walls and floors if you want this (for example to make new objects from them).

But you can not only place objects in the rooms – you can also make your own rooms by pulling walls through the house yourself, placing doors according to your wishes and attaching windows.

It is also possible to tie different objects together. For example, if you fill a bookshelf with books and other decorations, you can combine it into a common object. If you then want to move the bookshelf, all other objects are also automatically moved.

The rooms can be set up quite complex – your imagination has hardly any limits.

This freedom and the possibilities of the system are strongly reminiscent of the best details from Wildstar – there was also a great success due to the almost endless freedom, which was particularly good for the role -playing game. But everyone who has no RP ambitions can finally build a really chic home for their character.

Coloring as a new feature

An option that will come up for almost all of Assets is the possibility of coloring. If you find, for example, that your bed does not match the carpet, you can adapt the coloring of the bed – this applies to several individual areas. So you can color the bed linen, but also the wooden frame.

Unfortunately, “old” objects that have long been available in the World of Warcraft will not have this option. However, since Blizzard works on numerous, new and high -resolution objects that support the coloring, this should be cope with.

In the view from above you can see how the rooms are divided – if you want it.

What is still unclear? There are still some strangers. So it is not yet clear what the limits look like – that is, the maximum number of objects in a room or throughout the building are concerned. Too tight limitation could cause frustration here. At least in the examples shown, the rooms look quite well filled, so that you can be careful here.

The house of Warcraft looks really outstanding at first glance. We will find out in a few months whether it can really keep everything that is already promised in the preview. With a little luck, the houseing will appear this year – at least that makes the roadmap guessed.
