The upcoming plans for World of Warcraft have been revealed. The year 2025 is packed with new content.
During the Warcraft Direct stream, Blizzard spoke in detail about the future of World of Warcraft. Not only was the housing feature announced after 20 years of waiting, but the roadmap for 2025 was also revealed. It shows what will change in “The War Within” in the coming months.
What was said? Strictly speaking, the roadmap covers not only 2025, but also the current year. Patch 11.0.7 will be released in December – a week before Christmas – and will provide new content over the holidays.
But in 2025 things will continue in quick succession:
Is there more to come? It is not yet completely clear whether the story of The War Within will come to an end with patch 11.2.7 – but it looks like it will. If Blizzard sticks to the rhythm of “Dragonflight”, then that would mean that we will probably see another add-on in the “Remix” version at the end of 2025, before the Midnight expansion is (hopefully) ready at the beginning of 2026. However, Blizzard has not yet made any concrete promises here, so at the moment only a look into the crystal ball helps.
In any case, 2025 will be pretty busy for World of Warcraft fans. Players should expect a lot of content all year round and will be well supplied – regardless of whether they like dungeons, depths or raids. Maybe there is still a little time left so that WoW finally becomes a little more accessible for newcomers.
