The Ruby Lifepool and Azure Vault in World of Warcraft are too difficult. Now there have been hard nerfs and the dungeons are finally playable.
In World of Warcraft Dragonflight, the current season 1 has only been running for a few weeks, but the community quickly formed an opinion on the current dungeons. There are a few keystones that are easily manageable at high levels, while some other dungeons cause real problems even at significantly lower difficulty. This caused a lot of frustration, especially when paired with the Bully affix.
Now Blizzard is finally improving and nerfing the toughest dungeon ever: Ruby Life Pools. But a few other instances are also weakened.
We have presented the most popular dungeons to you here:
WoW: January 18 dungeon nerfs
The following changes only apply to the Mythic+ variants of the corresponding dungeons.
ruby life pool
Academy of Algeth’ar
Azure Vault
What are the effects of the nerfs? In principle, the nerfs should ensure that the ruby life tank in particular is much easier to do with the “tyrannical” affix. For many players, this used to be a “dead key”, i.e. a “dead key stone” that you simply didn’t walk. Similarly, Azure Vaults were almost impossibly difficult with Tyrannical at high levels.
The changes to Telash Graywing and the Frost Bomb in particular now give all characters enough time to get out of the deadly areas in time. Previously, this became the ultimate test for healers and a constant drain on all defensive cooldowns.
What do you think of these nerfs? Are they necessary and appropriate? Or are the dungeons now much too easy and have lost their last difficulty?
By the way, the next WoW patch is already very close – it will be released in January.
