WoW just has the “best system ever for raids”

The final season of Dragonflight in World of Warcraft leaves fans satisfied. One feature in particular is popular – and we want it to stay that way.

The fourth and final season of Dragonflight has been running for almost three weeks. As already established in Shadowlands, the final season of an expansion is a little accelerated. It offers more variety through a variety of raids and at the same time collects equipment much faster, so that all characters can quickly get the most out of themselves.

But one feature is so popular that many say: “It’s the best thing that’s happened to raiding in a long time.”

What is this feature? We’re talking about the Ancient Bronze Ingots, of which every character can earn one per week – sometimes a few more with the corresponding weekly quest. 2 bronze bars each can be exchanged for powerful equipment, namely raid trinkets and weapons.

This means that every character can work specifically towards equipment and is guaranteed to buy a strong piece of jewelry or a weapon every 2 weeks without having to hope for luck with the dice or RNG.

Although the purchasable items originally have a relatively low item level, they can be upgraded up to 12 times – and are then among the best items currently available in the game.

Why is the feature so popular? Basically, it feels good to be able to work specifically towards certain items. Jewelry and weapons in particular are often considered “rare” loot and are extremely sought after. When these items drop from a boss, many characters often roll for them and the chance of getting the loot is correspondingly low. Not to mention that these high-level items also require a corresponding level of effort from a large group of players.

This is how the community discusses: The bronze bars are also being actively discussed in the WoW subreddit.

For the first time in WoW history, it feels like I’m getting items in a reasonable amount of time. Nothing felt worse than raiding for 8 hours over multiple days only to end up with 0 items because you had no luck with the dice.

Now, with the bronze bars, I’m having fun raiding again – I know that even if the raid doesn’t give me an item, I can pick an item every other week. (…)

At the same time, the bronze bars also offer all heroines and heroes easier access to the coveted raid jewelry. These trinkets are often the “best in slot” and are therefore interesting for everyone who otherwise only plays Mythic+.

Although “Mythic+” dungeons often have solid alternatives, if you want to get the most out of your character, you can’t avoid raids. This is often in stark contrast to the preferred style of play – short, crisp M+ dungeons and not hour-long raids with all the problems that can come with that.

This is also similar to x0nnex, who writes:

The best thing that happened to raiding? Can you imagine how great this is for M+ players? I can finally have access to raid trinkets!”

Some also wished that the feature was permanent and not just at the end of an expansion, like GummyLorde:

I wish this was in every season and not just Season 4. At least in some form (so that people aren’t immediately super strong in Week 2). The fact that Season 4 is a little crazier with more gear and fun is great and something I enjoyed in Shadowlands.

However, some also note that this acceleration can only be had in the final season of an expansion. Otherwise the content would be played through too quickly if everyone everywhere had their “Best in Slot” equipment after just 4 weeks. This is only possible in Season 4 of Patch 10.2.7.

What do you think of the final season of Dragonflight? Would you like a feature like the bronze bars to be permanent and available every season?
