WoW has the worst grind in the history of the whole game

A grind in World of Warcraft is so exhausting that most in WoW give up before the first reward. Only gold farmers are happy.

In World of Warcraft there are many rewards that are behind different challenges. A need talent, others need luck – and some simply have a lot of time. If time is required, then one usually speaks of a grind because the same tasks always have to be repeated. For a handful of rewards from Patch 11.1 Loren, this grind is now ahead: various mechanica are probably the worst PVE grind in the history of the game.

What do you do with various mechanica? Various mechanica are a currency in Lorenhall, even if they are not displayed in the “currency” window, but end up in your inventory. At two different dealers you can exchange the mechanica-for 25 of which you will receive one of 3 mounts, for 5-10 you get one of 6 different pets.

The problem: Various mechanica are so rare that you have to farm for weeks or months in order to obtain even a few of the rewards. Even if you have already reached everything else in Lorenhall, you will only have a fraction of the necessary various mechanica.

How do you get various mechanica? In theory there are various mechanica (“Miscellaneous Mechanica”) from several sources in Lorenhall:

  • All rare enemies (“Rare Spawns”) have a low chance of 1-2 %to leave a various mechanica. With the elite rares, the chance is slightly increased.
  • Overflowing garbage container (from glory level 13) has a chance of approx. 1 %to contain a various mechanica.
  • The Paragon boxes of the Goblin factions have a chance to contain 1-2 various mechanica.

    • Gold farmers are happy about thick rewards

    The only ones who seem to be happy about this type of grind are gold farmers with an army of second characters and a lot of time. Because the rare enemies cannot be looted per account, but per character once a day. So if you have 50 characters at level 80, you can farm 50 times a day in the various rare and have many times the chances of the various mechanica. This is extremely time -consuming, but can be worth it.

    Due to this massive number of opportunities, several various mechanica can be obtained per day. The mounts and pets that can be bought with it can be sold for several million gold in the auction house and are therefore a relatively efficient grind to earn gold in the game.

    This is how the community reacts: In WoW’s subreddit, it is agreed that various mechanica is the worst grind in a long, long time – if not in the history of World of Warcraft. Some of the comments:

  • “In 4 weeks I saw exactly 2 of them, with hundreds of rare kills, maximum cartel call, I really do everything. It is very bad. It is a much greater grind than it should be-especially if you don’t have an army of Twinks.” – Glamdr1ng
  • “Holy shit, I didn’t even know that this was a currency. So far I have only got one of them and thought that would be part of the car or something.” – Jagermonstruo
  • “I have decided that this and the call of the Düsternis molts are two call-grinds where I don’t want to waste time. There is so much to do and I just don’t have time for these two.” – goblocker

    • It is clear that this grind is one of the hardest that has brought World of Warcraft in recent years. If you want all rewards, you will probably spend many months in Lorenhall – long when the next “Midnight” extension is live. At least when Blizzard doesn’t change anything.
    5 other mounts in the War Within are significantly easier to farm.
