WOW has now punished 12,000 cheaters and has publicly pilloried its names

What do you do with players who have demonstrably used unauthorized cheats in an MMORPG like World of Warcraft to get an advantage? Distribution and distribute the sholled performance and punish punishment. The Chinese publisher from WoW does even more.

WOW is back in China: You have probably noticed it: since August 2024, World of Warcraft has also been back in China. Netease and Blizzard were able to enclose their discrepancies and agree on a new cooperation. The comeback could then have ensured a new all-time high for active wow players.

With such a large community, however, it cannot be avoided that some black sheep also get lost to Azeroth that violate the usage agreements of the MMORPG. Similar to Blizzard in the West, Netease regularly reaches the spell in China. The Chinese publisher goes one step further.

There are services that should simply be recognized with a wow title:

The modern pillory made in China

What did Netease do? First of all, the Chinese publisher 8,992 Cheasters converted the mythic plus title hardened hero from season 1 by The War Within. 3,000 other players, secondly, caught a penalty due to cheating in the evaluated PvP of the season.

In some cases, the punishments are only the discretion of the sholled titles and successes. Particularly serious cases are also said to have been banned. So far, so normal.

The third measure is remarkable: With the announcement of the penalties on Wo.blizzard.cn, the very long list of punished characters (with the associated server names) also went online. Since not only permanent bans have been distributed and many of the cheaters can continue to be online, this is of course an exciting information for all potential co-fellow and opponents of the servers concerned.

What do you think of this kind of punishment? Do you prefer permanent spells for every cheaper? Or should Blizzard also go on publicly named punished characters and the associated servers? Tell us your opinion in the comments! In WoW Classic, the developers were so overwhelmed by the bot situation that a player took hunting into his own hands. His wages: death threats.
