WoW: Blizzard weakens skills from Plunderstorm that are too strong

In the past few hours, the Blizzard developers have weakened various overly strong skills from World of Warcraft’s new battle royale mode Plunderstorm via hotfixes. However, many players shrug their shoulders because they want something completely different.

Which skills have been weakened? Here is a summary of the latest hotfixes for World of Warcraft’s new Plunderstorm mode:

  • Hoarfrost Arrow’s cooldown has been increased starting at Rank 2. At rank 4, the ability has a cooldown of five and a half seconds instead of four.
  • Fairy Form now only gives you 50 percent damage reduction for one second, instead of 90 percent over three seconds.
  • Fire Vortex, which colleague Benedict recommended to you, causes less damage at all ranks.
  • Stormhold Sloop’s effect now only lasts 40 seconds instead of 60.
  • Gusts now breaks immunity effects.
  • Players are now immune to knockback effects when near Da’kash in the preparation zone.
  • Outfits will now be maintained between battles.

What do players say about the hotfixes? The hotfix package is certainly being discussed in the official WoW forum. But the comments focus less on the weakening. Instead, several WoW fans are expressing a desire for another fame bonus that you can receive during a game of Plunderstorm.

  • Warlock Phaeliea is “impatiently” waiting for another Fame XP buff.
  • Tauren lady Moonvest also emphasizes: “I want more Danish, give me more Danish.”
  • Arnho even directly criticizes Blizzard: “The speed at which we are progressing through rewards is NOT as fast as you suggested.”
  • In fact, the developers at Blizzard had already noticeably increased the fame rewards for Plunderstorm games in the past few days. You get significantly more junk for killing monsters and players, more junk from chests and more junk for a victory.

Apparently it still takes too long for many players to reach fame level 40. Do you see it the same way? Or do you think another fame buff is overkill? Tell us in the comments!

By the way, colleague Benedict is currently having a lot of fun in WoW’s new Plunderstorm mode:
