Would you like to have several accounts on Instagram? It’s possible! Especially since to easily move from one account to another, the social network offers a very practical function: multi-account.
If you are a great Instagram user, you may want to have several accounts. For example, staff, another for your business or for an association, and another still dedicated to one of your passions. It is possible and even easy! Indeed, unlike Facebook, which allows you to connect only one account at a time, Instagram authorizes its users to manage several accounts simultaneously thanks to its multi-account function. In addition to your main account, you can perfectly animate an account for your sports club, another to tell the adventures of your cat and another to share your love of plants …
In practice, the multi-account function allows you to manage up to a maximum of five accounts in the mobile application and easily switch from one to the other. Obviously free, it is accessible to both personal accounts and professional accounts. Please note, as always, a few rules set out in the conditions of use of the social network should be respected to use it. Thus, the information given must be accurate and it is prohibited to create an account for another person without their express authorization. Another imperative: you must provide unique identifiers – email or telephone number – when creating an account. You cannot therefore use the same email address to create different accounts.
How to activate the multi-account on Instagram?
The activation of multi-accounts involves creating a new Depuuuis account your main understanding.
- Connect to the Instagram application with your usual account.
- Display your profile by pressing theProfile page icon,, lower right of the interface.
- Once on your profile, press The three bars At the top right of the screen to display the settings menu.
- Then press Settings.
- At the bottom of the page Parameterspress Add an account in the game Connections.
- A contextual menu appears at the bottom of the interface with two options: Connect to an existing account Or Create a new account. Press the option corresponding to your case.
- If you choose to use an existing account, enter the identifier and associated password and press Connection.
- If you choose to create a new account, follow the creation process described in our practical sheet.
- In both cases, the account with which you have just connected will appear directly on the news feed and the multi-account function is activated.
Once the multi-account function has been activated, adding new accounts is even simpler: from the profile page, press The name of your account at the top of the interface then on Add an account At the bottom of the list. This action will display the connection screen mentioned above.

How to go from one account to another on Instagram?
The advantage of the multi-account is to allow a simpler and faster navigation from one account to another, without the need to disconnect and reconnect.
- Display the profile page by pressing theprofile iconbottom right of the interface.
- On the profile page, Press your username At the top of the interface.
- This action will display the list of connected accounts in a context menu at the bottom of the screen.
- Press the name or on the avatar another account to use it.
- All actions (like, comment, publication, etc.) will then be carried out through this second account.
Note that you can also press the profile page icon at length to display the context menu.
How to publish a photo or video in multi-account on Instagram?
If you do not pay attention to which account you are connected before publishing an image, the multi-account can quickly prove to be a source of error. Fortunately, when this function is activated, additional security is implemented before the publication.
- Before the final stage of sharing your publication – the editorial staff of the legend -, the account to which you are connected is checked by default in the section Publish on other accounts.
- You can uncheck the main account and check another to publish on it, or even check all the accounts.
