The indictment states that the men must have known the documents were stolen, they must have made false certificates and lied to auction houses and potential buyers. They are also said to have lied to the police about how they came across the notes, which included the lyrics to the hits “Hotel California” and “Life in the fast lane”.
The documents were originally stolen in the late 1970s and were eventually sold to one of the men.
The notes and lyrics are valued at over SEK 10.5 million.
The men claim to be innocent.
