The company’s CEO Stefan Sjöstrand writes in the report that the booking situation measured in booked nights is three percent worse compared to the same period in 2019/2020, i.e. before the pandemic broke out.
“The main explanation for a certain decline is that we have a negative calendar effect during the Christmas and New Year weeks. Another reason is that we see a later order entry than in previous years, when more people book closer to arrival, while the period after the Christmas and New Year weeks including the sports holiday shows positive figures,” writes Sjöstrand in the report.
At the same time, the company reports a loss before tax of SEK 475 million for the period September 1–November 30, which can be compared with SEK 347 million for the same period in 2021. Turnover at the same time amounted to SEK 177 million (SEK 155 million).
“After a couple of years characterized by restraint, we have an increased need for repair and maintenance work at our destinations before the winter season starts. In addition, costs for advertising and marketing increase during the period,” writes the CEO.
