NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg made up-to-date evaluations on the Russia-Ukraine war to the US press. Stating that the statements that Russia has withdrawn from Ukraine in recent days do not reflect the truth, Stoltenberg said, “What we see is not a withdrawal, but according to what we see, Russia is redeploying its forces.”
“THIS NEW SITUATION…”
Stating that they closely monitor every development, Stoltenberg pointed out that the maneuvers by the USA and NATO may be a new attack plan, and said, “This new situation may be a preparation for a new attack, especially on the eastern sides of Donbass.”
“A VIOLENCE WE HAVE NOT SEEN IN EUROPE IN TEN YEARS”
Drawing attention to the drama experienced by civilians in the Ukraine-Russia war, Stoltenberg said, “What has been done to civilians is a brutality we have not seen in Europe for decades. This is terrible, the targeting and killing of civilians is absolutely unacceptable.”
“I absolutely welcome it,” said Stoltenberg, regarding the investigation of the International Criminal Court, which opened an investigation for war crimes in Ukraine.
“It is Putin’s responsibility to stop this war,” said Stoltenberg, adding, “We should not be too optimistic. The attacks will continue.” (UAV)
