James “MrBeast” Donaldson is the world’s largest YouTuber and is known for his charitable projects. In a show he now said that he did not have an appropriate work-life balance. He doesn’t recommend anyone to be like him.
Regular content requires a lot of work. In a YouTube show on June 27th, MrBeast spoke about his approach as a content creator. There he says “I invest every penny I make. I work every hour that I’m awake. […] I’ve been doing this for 14 years (via YouTube starting at 42:30).”
However, MrBeast is not active on Twitch. Instead, Ninja was the biggest streamer for a while:

“I have no life”
He notes that it’s “humanly impossible” to do better at what he does. He says: “If I believe that someone is better than me, I will sleep even less so that I can work even more.”
One of the two questioners of the channel “Colin and Samir” states that the “barrier to entry” to “be able to be a MrBeast” is very high. To which MrBeast replies:
Yes, because I go “all in”, I’m crazy. people shouldn’t be me. i have no life I don’t have a work-life balance. My personality, my soul is to make the best possible videos and entertain my fans in the best possible way. That’s why I exist on this planet. […] I don’t recommend that.
You should have a work-life balance. You shouldn’t devote your whole life to this one thing. go and have fun I am often unhappy. I have a mental breakdown every few weeks from putting so much pressure on myself.

What does he say about the pressure? While MrBeast reports on the lack of work-life balance, he laughs. It seems as if he is proud of his success, even if it involves an enormous amount of work. He is focused on his goals. He knows that people will stay tuned and watch.
He’s not afraid of falling. He’s “not afraid of anything,” says MrBeast in the video. “I have no idea what other people are doing, I don’t care. I’m doing my thing and I’ll do my best to do it as well as I can.”
When asked if he feels competitive, MrBeast says with a laugh, “Oh, that would be great. If someone made videos, you know, at my level, or better, and people said, This guy is better than MrBeast, I would be out of control, that would be crazy.”
