The connection to World of Warcraft and other Blizzard games is currently not possible. What’s going on there?
Update 11:05 p.m.: The first players can log in again and the problems seem to be subsiding.
Original message: In the evening after work, visit a few instances or enjoy the last days of the Easter holidays and celebrate the Nobel Garden event in Goldhain – that’s probably what many players had in mind today. But there are problems when logging into World of Warcraft. The login servers are stressful and connecting to the game is not possible.
Since when has this been like this? The first reports came at around 7:30 p.m. Since then, there have been increasing reports that you can no longer log in to World of Warcraft (and other Blizzard games).

If you can still log in at the moment, then you are simply lucky. Thousands of players can’t do exactly that right now.
What’s going on there? There are problems with the login server. Although you can (in most cases) launch the Battle.net app, once you start a game, it cannot connect to the servers. The only thing that helps here is to wait until Blizzard gives the green light.

Even though it’s obviously annoying, you shouldn’t spend the evening constantly staring at the login. Instead, use the time to maybe watch a good series or just play something else – reading “connection failed” over and over again only makes you unhappy.
How are you spending this evening?
