Blizzard has released the World of Warcraft Dragonflight travel guide, which includes many details of the new expansion pack.
Blizzard Entertainment released World of Warcraft: Dragonflight last year: Dragonflight is the ninth expansion to the hugely popular online multiplayer role-playing game. In Dragonflight, players enter a new world of adventure and have the chance to relive or explore the Dragon Isles, a continent full of primeval wonders and discover long-forgotten secrets.

Legacy of Dragonflight
Thousands of years ago, Azeroth was home to the ancestors of dragons – primitive beasts ruled by primal instincts. However, there were five among them who sparked intelligence and thought/feeling more deeply than others.
When Galakrond revolted, these five banded together to defeat him, and for their bravery they were gifted by the Titans and transformed into Aspects, leaders of the dragon wars and guardians of Azeroth.
After their ascension, the Aspects created a new world, the Dragon Islands, a beautiful place and a beacon of hope for the whole world. But when dragons were summoned during the Legion’s attack on Azeroth and the world was torn apart in the Great Destruction, their lands were sealed by the Titans and consumed the spell, leaving the lands dormant.
However, a surge of power reawakened the magic beneath the Dragon Isles, the heart of the dragon kingdom and the ancestral home of the Azeroth Dragons. When the Dragon Islands awaken, a new continent filled with history is ready to be discovered, but so are old hostilities and long-dormant threats. Overflowing with elemental magic and Azeroth’s life energies, the Dragon Aspects are returning to the islands to reclaim their place as Azeroth’s guardians.
Dracthyr’s Origins
As you uncover the mysteries of this new realm, so does Dracthyr’s story. This ancient race of humanoid dragons are the creations of Neltharion, Deathwing, and newcomers to the series. They are a race of fierce warriors who channel the magic of dragon flights, maneuvering on the battlefields while healing their allies or damaging their enemies.
They are soldiers bound to Neltharion’s will by an ancient Titan artifact and fought against Storm Eater Raszageth, one of the leaders of the Primalist rebellion. However, during the battle, the Titan artifact was destroyed and the spell that united Dracthyr was removed. Unable to control the Dracthyrs anymore, Neltharion imprisoned them and frozen them in time.
Now, with an ancient enemy returning, Dracthyr has reawakened and their story has been revealed.
- 10.1 Neltharion’s Embers
In 10.1, as the Primal Incarnates try to gain the upper hand in their fight against the Dragon Aspects, the path to Neltharion’s secret laboratory is revealed deep within the Dragon Isles. In their quest to reveal the secrets of Neltharion, the Primal Incarnates dug huge tunnels into the earth to reveal the cave.
In this newly revealed area, we dive deep into the surface, into Zaralek Cave, a place with a deadly secret – Neltharion’s long-lost laboratory, Aberrus Approach. As you go down to explore this new area, it splits into various biomes with different creatures.
In this place we will learn more about Neltharion and his origins, but also what was planned with the creation of Dracthyr. As we progress, we learn more about Dracthyr’s stories that still continue as they awaken from the stagnation they’ve been in for thousands of years.
