(Finance) – In view of World Hearing Daythe World Day to raise awareness among institutions and public opinion on the problems and pathologies of the hearing system, which is celebrated on Sunday 3 March 2024, was held in the Sala Regina of Montecitorio on “Hear-a-thon Italy, the Hearing Marathon”.
On the sidelines of the panel “Misperceptions about hearing impairment”, the intense testimony by Fabio Bosatelli, suffering from profound deafness since birth. The manager has been working for years for the Enel Group and holds the position of Head of Automation and Robotics in Enel Green Power.
Bosatelli told his story with simplicity and passion human and professional experience, which led him to live with the pathology and to overcome many of the obstacles that he faced. “The first thing is to recognize and understand your limits – he said – to try to overcome them. It is a long road, a climb that must be tackled without looking at the top of the mountain, but step by step, objective after objective”.
Despite the countless difficulties encountered, the courage and determination of Fabio led him to obtain two degrees, one in engineering and one in economics, an MBA in Business Administration and today to coordinate teams and projects involving more than 100 people all over the world. “We are responsible for two macro-activities: activities with drones, robots and artificial intelligence which involve maintenance and inspection of plants with innovative technologies, and the governance of Advanced Analytics”.
A goal achieved thanks to his fortitude, hard work and support from the company that accompanied and supported him. Enel has in fact launched a challenge to make an innovative solution available to Fabio, as well as to other people, customers and stakeholders app, developed by the start-up Pediuswhich allows you to make phone calls through speech recognition and synthesis technologies.
An initiative that marks a real record: the Group was in fact among the first to make use of this solution to support all those with hearing pathologies. “Enel truly puts people at the center. This app was fundamental for me and allowed me to interact with customers and colleagues by telephone, making my life and work easier.”
