In the footage broadcast by BFMTV, rats are running around in the Saran district of Orleans city, in the warehouse of Amazon’s food products. In the images shared by the television channel, the pollution in the warehouse stood out directly, while the dead rat pups in the food parcels also drew attention.
MEASURES ARE INSUFFICIENT, AUTHORITIES ARE NOT INTERESTED
Despite the warnings, this problem, which has not been resolved for months, worries us on the grounds that it endanger the health of both employees and customers.
A staff member of the company working at the warehouse in question stated that they were afraid of contracting the disease and that the authorities did not care much about the situation.
Jean-Sylvere Guillon, one of the representatives of the union to which the employees are affiliated, said that the measures taken to get rid of mice in the warehouse are insufficient and more effective solutions are needed.
Amazon, on the other hand, claimed that the pest control team worked in the warehouse many times, and that no parcels in contact with mice were sent to customers. (AA)
