The fee only applies to those who want to walk the nine steps to the fountain. Those who only go to Trevi square do not have to pay.

An SAS plane on its way to Umeå from Arlanda had to turn around on Friday evening after 30 minutes in the air, according to SAS.
The plane turned around after indications of technical problems and made a normal landing at Arlanda.
The passengers then had to change to another aircraft that was going to Umeå.
It should not be an engine failure but some other type of problem according to SAS.
– When there is an indication of a technical problem, it is not certain that it is actually a problem, but you have to be safe before the safe, writes Irena Busic, press spokesperson at SAS.
The plane must be examined by technicians.

– A man has been severely beaten with a stick in or adjacent to a workshop. The injuries should not be life-threatening and no one has been arrested, says Anders Bryngelsson, press spokesperson at the police’s regional command center.
The police have started a preliminary investigation into attempted murder or serious assault.
