The director Jean-Luc Godard, who pioneered the new wave of French cinema, died at the age of 91. The director’s wife, Anne-Marie Mieville, said that Jean-Luc Godard ended her life by resorting to assisted suicide while her relatives were at peace nearby at her home in Switzerland.
‘IT WAS HIS DECISION’
Mieville said in a statement after the director’s death, “He wasn’t sick, he was just tired. That’s why he decided to end his life. It was his decision.” Assisted suicide is allowed in Switzerland. (UAV)
