Otterspeer finished third this Sunday and with that he secured the World Cup in the 1000 meters. For Dijs it is the first time that he has won the 1000 meters in the World Cup. In December in Calgary, the skater was the best in a World Cup competition in the 1500 meters. At the World Cup last Sunday on the same track in Poland, Dijs also set the best time of the day in the B group.
