The 5-time world champion T1 in League of Legends is building a team to start a dynasty or extend their existing dynasty. Now the first building block has been nailed down: 22-year-old supporter Ryu “Keria” Min-seok will remain in the team. He has signed a contract until 2026.
Who is this important building block for the dynasty? Keria is currently considered the best support player in the world. The 22-year-old has a huge champion pool and can play anything.
Keria has been with T1 since 2020 and has reached the finals of Worlds 3 times and won the World Championship twice.
With Gumayusi he forms a strong botlane that also and especially impresses under pressure. While T1 spent 2024 in crisis in the national league LCK and only flew to the LoL Worlds in Eruopa as outsiders, they played the best LoL of the year, especially in Paris and London, and became stronger and stronger the more important the matches became.

Keria seemed like a shaky candidate after the Worlds, but is now firmly committed
Why is the commitment so important now: At T1, all contracts expire on November 18th, except for Faker’s contract, which runs until 2025.
In the press conference immediately after the Worlds, Keria seemed as if he could imagine taking a year off from LoL, he was so emotionally exhausted. But now he has signed a contract until the end of 2026 (via Twitter).
At the moment it is assumed that his botlane partner Gumayusi will remain firmly at T1, he has already made it clear that he could stay.
Keria was probably the player, along with Faker, who would be completely unreplaceable for T1.
In sports, we speak of a “dynasty” when a team manages to dominate a league for a long period of time. This happens more often in traditional sports. This is not the case in short-lived e-sports, where the team rosters are constantly changing. The fact that T1 has been playing together in this form for 3 years is a rarity.
The other two positions, top laner and jungler, are also well filled with Zeus and Oner and fans hope that both stay at T1. But the positions would certainly be more likely to be filled at least somewhat equally than Keria – for which there is no equivalent replacement on the market. Maybe Beryl, but he’s 5 years older.
On reddit it is believed that the “wobbly candidate” in the team could be top laner Zeus.
What makes Keria so good? Keria is generally seen as an outstanding talent in the support role because he is so versatile and can play the role his team needs in any team combination.
He can play classic utility champs like Bard and cause surprises. In the final of the Worlds, however, he took out Poppy and dominated the opponents with this heroine by initiating fights and preparing kills. During Worlds, Keria played a total of 8 different champions, most commonly Renata Glasc.
