Working in childcare should be more attractive, says FNV: ‘Wages increase, more self-determination and less red tape’

Victimized parents of Ska Kinderopvang want to go to court

The Association of Parents in Childcare (BOinK) recognizes that the personnel problems in the sector are ‘very serious’. Spokesperson Gjalt Jellesma does, however, think that Ska Kinderopvang has handled the situation incorrectly. “I’m not convinced that this was the only solution. The situation affects all childcare centers, but you have to give a good reason why you make such a tough decision and they don’t,” he explains, “This is mainly a easy decision for Ska herself, but a very unfair one for the affected parents.”
