Work the event Organizational models in family businesses in Verona

(Tiper Stock Exchange) – Propose and indicate some organizational models of family businesses, bringing experiences and insights: this is the goal of the event “Organizational models in family firms”, which took place at Villa Dionisi (Cerea) in Verona, organized by the accountant firm Massimo Gazzani of Verona.

To open the works Massimo Gazzani, accountant, Partner Studio Gazzani, addressing the issue of organizational models of family businesses as a necessary tool for businesses, which must adopt an administrative and accounting structure to measure performance, KPIs, make decisions, define responsibilities.

“We wanted to bring experiences and insights because every company and family has different stories and when we talk about these types of companies, we need to understand both their mentality and their feelings. It is important to enhance and protect the businesses and the future of these companies, without however forgetting their family and their origins, because these are the family business”, explained Gazzani.

For Francesco Pinto, President and Co-Founder Yamamay: “Family businesses are a fundamental part of the Italian economic system, estimated by AIDAF to be 65% of total businesses. The effectiveness of the organizational models in use therefore constitutes an interest of great importance for Italy. Unfortunately, it is often found that there is still not enough attention to this topic, which touches on vital areas such as governance, managerialisation, conflicts and succession in every family business. A mature, formalized and, above all, day-to-day governance can instead be a powerful engine of economic development.
Valuing the role and centrality of boards of directors and shareholders’ meetings can bring out merit and contribute, through transparency and dialogue with stakeholders, to the virtuous management of the company”.

Francesco Zagarese, Manager Glaxo (GSK), Ferrari, Versalis (ENI), declared that: “The experience of the manager is essential. The organizational models of family businesses can be more performing and grow when the SME equips itself with external managers, which allow for a different corporate vision solution, more attentive to numbers, competitors, strategies and above all to corporate procedures dedicated to decisions and to the monitoring of the results”.

For Matthias D’AmatoDirector of EN.IT SpA: “The organizational models of family businesses are imposed when there are several generations in the company and when a business such as energy production is managed, which has become increasingly primary and of global interest”.

Second Lorenzo Salvatore, Partner Studio Notaryle Macchi Salvatore: “The organizational models of family businesses must also be protected and valued legally, because there are tools that the Notary, with experience and professionalism, highlights above all in generational transitions. A topic that from a civil and fiscal point of view was difficult in the early 2000s and which has now become easily manageable from a legal and fiscal point of view. There are many new institutes available, such as the Pact of Family or the Trust, but often the obstacle is psychological”.
