Woodstock resident charged after vehicle driven at group of people

A 21-year-old Woodstock resident is charged with assault with a weapon after someone drove a vehicle at a group of people early Sunday morning, police say.

About 12:50 am April 2, and after a confrontation with a group of people near South Alley and Light Street, a person drove into a parked vehicle and then at a group of people, striking one person, Woodstock police said.

Police didn’t release any information about injuries to the person who was hit.

The Woodstock resident also is charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle and failing to stop after a collision, police said.
