Woodstock police sixteen nearly $100K in suspected drugs

A 33-year-old Woodstock woman faces a long list of drug-related charges after city police seized nearly $100,000 worth of suspected drugs.

While conducting a traffic stop in the area of ​​Dundas Street and Beards Lane late Tuesday night, Woodstock officers discovered the vehicle’s passenger was reportedly wanted by police.

With help from the city’s drug enforcement and criminal intelligence unit, the responding officers reportedly found the suspect to be in possession of roughly $96,080 of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and crack cocaine, police said. Officers also reportedly seized $3,390 and two folding knives.

The suspect was arrested and charged with four counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a dangerous weapon, failing to comply with a probation order and failing to comply with an undertaking.

The accused was held in custody to await a bail hearing.
