Woodstock police are investigating after an unknown suspect forced their way into a pickup truck late Friday afternoon and stole a wallet.

The truck – a Ford F-150 – was parked near Innovation Way and Commerce Way.

Robbery charges

A 29-year-old Woodstock man was charged with robbery after reports of an alleged Saturday evening robbery.

Woodstock police said officers responded Saturday to a reported robbery on Bay Street, where a 32-year-old man had also been assaulted. Police said a dispute between two men led to the assault before the accused rifled through the injured man’s bags to steal property.

Officers found the suspect Sunday at around midnight in the area of ​​Graham and Brant streets.

The man was charged with robbery and failing to comply with a probation order.

Catalytic converter stolen

Some time between Saturday and Sunday evening, unknown suspected reportedly stole a catalytic converter from a gray 2006 Hyundai Elantra.

The car had been parked in an area of ​​Queen Street close to Douglas Street, police said.

Stolen truck recovered

A Woodstock officer saw a white Ford F-150 pickup truck Sunday that had reportedly been stolen earlier that weekend.

Police recovered the allegedly stolen truck after the suspects fled on foot in the area of ​​Willowgrove Crescent. While the male driver escaped, a 32-year-old female passenger was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property with a value less than $5,000.

The male suspect was described as a short, white man and was wearing a red baseball cap, a white shirt, shorts and white Nike shoes.

Woodstock police thanked the Stratford police canine unit for its help during the investigation.
