Wood late match winner for Nottingham

Chris Wood headed Nottingham to a late three-pointer in the Premier League meeting with newcomers Sheffield United, 2–1.

The New Zealander needed just five minutes on the pitch to score for international striker Anthony Elanga’s new club.

Elanga had to start the match on the bench just like in the premiere, but was replaced in the 69th minute.

The Swede came close to scoring his first goal since his move from Manchester United in stoppage time. A match with former Malmö FF teammate Anel Ahmedhodžić, the Bosnian Swede, was about to result.

The win gave Nottingham their first three points of the season. Sheffield United are still on zero points.
